DeckyHub release notes

What's new in each stable version of DeckyHub, newest first. DeckyHub updates itself from its Quick Access tab; pre-releases for testers are on the GitHub releases page.

v3.2.1

Security checks

  • Virus scan: ClamAV found no threats in DeckyHub-v3.2.1.zip (scan report).
  • VirusTotal: No engine flagged DeckyHub-v3.2.1.zip (0/65) — VirusTotal report.
  • MetaDefender: No engine flagged DeckyHub-v3.2.1.zip (0/21) — MetaDefender report.
  • Desktop installer (install-deckyhub.sh and its .desktop launcher): ClamAV: No threats found (scan report). VirusTotal: clean (0/60) — report. MetaDefender: clean (0/21) — report.
  • Code analysis: GitHub CodeQL checks the Python and TypeScript code on every change.

v3.2.0

The biggest update since 3.1, and most of it is about knowing what you're installing.

New

  • Virus scans on every plugin. The registry scans each plugin's release ZIP with ClamAV and YARA (community rules, many written for Linux malware); VirusTotal and MetaDefender results show too when they exist. Discover cards get a badge (No threats, Threat found, Not fully scanned). A plugin's Manage window has a Virus scan box: one line per scanner with how long ago it ran, the version it's about, and a full Scan report (file, SHA-256, scanner versions). It only informs: Install is never blocked, and a clean result isn't proof of safety (the box says so). A ZIP that changed after its scan shows as not scanned, never as clean.
  • A friendlier Desktop Mode installer. Download one file, double-click it, and it lists every step before anything happens: Decky Loader is checked first (and installed with Decky's own installer if missing), then DeckyHub. It explains why the admin password is needed and collects nothing. It can also show a few hand-picked plugins (frame generation, themes...) one at a time with Skip as the default; nothing is installed until you confirm in DeckyHub. The manual ZIP / install-from-URL route is still there and needs no password.
  • Installed page: your installed plugins with download counts, stars and the same security badges.
  • Per-plugin pages on the website: every plugin has its own page on deckyhub.com/plugins, scans included.
  • Ukrainian home page and README (the app itself is in 18 languages).

Changed

  • A redesigned Manage window. The virus scan box comes first, DeckyHub's version sits beside its title, and What's new (release notes) reads to the end with the D-pad: long notes, descriptions and scan reports are all reachable without touching the screen.
  • Plugin download links that try to leave the plugin's own GitHub releases are refused.
  • Fresh screenshots, promo images and walkthrough GIF.

Fixed

  • Release notes written with Windows line endings ran their bullets together or showed big blank gaps; they're shown correctly now.
  • The Desktop installer showed no window on SteamOS (its dialogs used an option the Deck's zenity doesn't have) and its last "All done!" message never appeared; its dialogs now fit the Deck's screen too.

Under the hood

  • The release workflow's scans live in one reusable workflow, used for the plugin ZIP and the installer alike.
  • Tools to retake the screenshots on a real Deck, install a published ZIP on it, and run the whole Deck test suite with the D-pad only (36 tests, all passing on this release).

Try it on your Deck

  • Open a plugin's Manage window: check the Virus scan box, press Scan report, then read What's new to the end with the D-pad.
  • Open the Installed page and look for the security badges on your plugins.
  • Updating from 3.1.0 keeps all your settings, custom repositories and registries.
  • Prefer a window over the Deck's controls? Download Install-DeckyHub.desktop below and double-click it in Desktop Mode.

Security checks
  • Virus scan: ClamAV found no threats in DeckyHub-v3.2.0.zip (scan report).
  • VirusTotal: No engine flagged DeckyHub-v3.2.0.zip (0/66) — VirusTotal report.
  • MetaDefender: No engine flagged DeckyHub-v3.2.0.zip (0/21) — MetaDefender report.
  • Desktop installer (install-deckyhub.sh and its .desktop launcher): ClamAV: No threats found (scan report). VirusTotal: clean (0/61) — report. MetaDefender: clean (0/21) — report.
  • Code analysis: GitHub CodeQL checks the Python and TypeScript code on every change.

v3.1.0

New

  • Security warnings on plugins. Discover and a plugin's Manage window now show what Decky Extended Plugins' automated audit found in the release you'd install, next to Runs as root: Reads private data, Changes system startup, Code not in its repo, Hidden code, Skips HTTPS checks, Runs downloaded scripts, Known vulnerabilities, or Blocked by audit (not recommended for installation). Routine things many plugins need, like sudo or mount, don't get a warning. A warning isn't proof of harm, and no warning isn't proof of safety.
  • "What the badges on plugins mean", a notice at the top of Discover: tap More to read what every badge means, with a link to the audit.
  • Fork badge. DeckyHub's list now includes forks that carry a plugin on after its original stopped (archived, gone, or no release since), but only while the fork is the active one. They show Fork, and the card names the original.
  • Six more languages: Italian, Polish, Turkish, Dutch, Czech and Portuguese (Portugal), 17 in all. A system language set to Portuguese (Portugal) picks it automatically. Translations other than English are made automatically and may have mistakes; Settings → General says so.
  • Hide DeckyHub's Quick Access tab: Settings → General → DeckyHub tab in Quick Access. With it off, open DeckyHub from Decky's plugin list; update notices still come.
  • Registry Channel, in DeckyHub's own Manage window (Quick Access → DeckyHub → Manage): Pre-release shows plugins and list changes still being tested, and Discover and Updates say Pre-release registry while it's on. Stable stays the default, and DeckyHub falls back to it if the pre-release list can't be loaded.

Changed

  • DeckyHub reads its plugin list from the registry's published releases, with the same list as before as a fallback, and accepts a bigger list (up to 4 MB) so it can keep growing.

Fixed

  • The D-pad works again after opening a plugin's GitHub page. Coming back from Steam's browser (Manage → Repository, a card's Menu button, or the links in Settings), nothing had controller focus until you touched the screen. Focus now returns to the button you came from.

Under the hood

  • Browser tests for the warnings, the Fork badge and the Registry Channel, and a test that every translation keeps its placeholders.
  • Docs brought up to date, and DeckyHub is called a plugin hub, not a store.

Try it on your Deck

  • Discover: tap More on "What the badges on plugins mean" and check every badge is explained; plugins with audit warnings show orange badges (red for Blocked).
  • Open a plugin's Manage window, press Repository, then B: you're back on its Manage button and the D-pad works.
  • Settings → General: pick one of the new languages, then turn DeckyHub tab in Quick Access off and on.
  • Updating from 3.0.0 keeps all your settings, custom repositories and registries.

v3.0.0

New

  • DeckyHub's own Quick Access tab, with a new icon and an orange dot whenever a plugin has an update. Its panel has Discover, Updates, Search, Settings and About.
  • Updates are found in the background at startup and every few hours, and each update card says what it brings.
  • A redesigned Discover: category chips with plugin counts, and shelves of Most popular, Recently updated and New in DeckyHub.
  • Plugin stats: downloads, GitHub stars and when each plugin was last updated, plus Runs as root and No release in a year badges.
  • More sorting: Most downloaded, Most stars, Recently updated, and a second Then by sort. Filters show how many plugins each option lists.
  • A compact list view, now the default everywhere (Discover's shelves too); the grid of cards is a tap away and remembered.
  • A new details window for every plugin: its description, the latest release notes (What's new opens them in full), and the channel and version pickers side by side, to install, update, roll back or download the ZIP.
  • Installing… on a plugin's card while Decky installs it, and a notice when it's done.
  • Menu on a card's Install or Update button opens the plugin's GitHub page.
  • Settings in tabs, switched with L1 / R1: General, GitHub, Downloads, Repositories, Logs and About. Your GitHub token can be loaded from a text file in Downloads instead of typed.
  • Three more languages: Korean, Portuguese (Brazil) and Traditional Chinese, for 11 in all.
  • A welcome card on first launch explains what DeckyHub does and how to stay safe.
  • A light haptic tick as you move around (can be turned off in Settings).

Changed

  • Built for the controller: full D-pad navigation on every page and in every window, a clearer focus ring, and B goes back in one press. Tested on a real Steam Deck.
  • Text, buttons and spacing sized for the Deck's screen, with a Compact option; buttons on cards in a row line up.
  • Long lists load as you scroll instead of in pages.
  • The safety notice is one line, with More for the rest.
  • Search results say who made each plugin and mark the ones already in DeckyHub.
  • DeckyHub's list is no longer called "curated": plugins are added automatically from community catalogs when their releases install cleanly.

Fixed

  • Release notes open at the top, not the bottom.
  • Settings no longer flickers when switching tabs.
  • A plugin's newer release without its ZIP is skipped for the last one that has it.
  • DeckyHub's own update check no longer misses a new version or offers an older one.
  • Text no longer gets cut off or pushed off screen in any of the 11 languages.

Under the hood

  • Code split into small components and modules.
  • A test suite that runs on a real Steam Deck over Steam's debugger, checking every page, D-pad reach, layout and accessibility in every language; the browser mock now matches the Deck 1:1.
  • Updated @decky/ui and rollup.

Try it on your Deck

  • Look for the orange dot on DeckyHub's Quick Access icon when a plugin has an update.
  • Walk Discover, Updates, Search and every Settings tab (L1 / R1) with the D-pad only, and press B to leave.
  • Open a plugin's details and scroll to the bottom with the D-pad; open What's new and check the notes start at the top.
  • Install a plugin and watch its card say Installing…, then the notice when it's done.

v2.6.0

New

  • Search & Install in the Quick Access Menu (the button is Search): look up Decky plugins on GitHub and install them right from Gaming Mode.
  • Install adds the plugin to your tracked list and hands its latest release to Decky Loader's own installer.
  • Add only tracks it, so it shows up in Discover with update checks.
  • Y on a result's Install shows that release's notes, and X downloads its ZIP, just like on Discover cards.
  • Results show only Decky plugins, so awesome-lists, guides and unrelated projects don't clutter them.
  • A warning reminds you that search results aren't reviewed by anyone, so install only from authors you trust.
  • Many more plugins in DeckyHub's list, now nearly 70, including Panel de Control, DeckyShare, ThemeDeck, Elemental DeckKeys, Decky Direct Updater and dozens from Decky Plugins Extended. (The list updates on its own, so older versions see them too.)

Changed

  • No more "GitHub rate limit reached" just from opening Discover. DeckyHub now gets every listed plugin's releases from one file that the registry refreshes every 30 minutes, instead of asking GitHub once per plugin. A new release can take up to 30 minutes to show up. Plugins you added yourself still check GitHub directly.
  • Searching GitHub moved from Settings → Repositories to the new Search page. Repositories keeps your tracked repos, import/export and custom registries.
  • Discover has a new compass icon.

Fixed

  • With the rate-limit notice showing, the Quick Access panel no longer shifts sideways and cuts off its left edge; the notice's two buttons now sit one above the other there.
  • On the Search page, the search field and its Search / Clear buttons now line up, with no empty band under them.
  • Your GitHub token is now stored in a settings file only your own account can read.

Under the hood

  • Removed a per-plugin download filter that nothing could set any more.

Try it on your Deck

  • Without a GitHub token, open Discover and press Refresh a few times: the rate-limit notice shouldn't appear.
  • If the rate-limit notice does show in the Quick Access Menu, check nothing is cut off on the left and both of its buttons are reachable with the D-pad.
  • Open Search, look something up, and move through the results: each result's Install and Add should be reachable left and right; Y shows release notes, X downloads the ZIP.
  • Install a plugin from Search and check that Decky's own confirm dialog appears and the plugin installs.

v2.5.2

Smoother pages, sturdier downloads and installs, a 7× smaller download, and the plugin list now comes straight from its own home.

Changed

  • Updates and Discover no longer reset while you're using them. The automatic refresh every 15 minutes, Refresh, and the reload after an install finishes update the cards in place. The page doesn't blank to a spinner, and you keep your place and controller focus.
  • Large downloads on slow Wi-Fi no longer fail after 5 minutes. A download is stopped only if it stalls (less than 1 KB/s for a minute).
  • The DeckyHub download is about 7× smaller (about 87 KB instead of 604 KB) and takes about 1.8 MB less space on your Deck.
  • The list of apps on Discover now comes only from mazillka/deckyhub-registry. DeckyHub no longer ships a built-in copy, so what you see is always the current list. A brand-new install with no internet shows an empty Discover until it reaches GitHub once; after that, the last list is kept for offline use.
  • New plugin catalog: search every listed plugin by name or category, or suggest a new one. The registry editor has moved there too.

Fixed

  • Switching an app's channel in Manage updates its card straight away. Before, the card kept the old channel's latest version, and its quick Update button could install a stable release after you'd switched to pre-releases.
  • Another plugin with a broken plugin.json no longer stops Updates and Discover from loading. That plugin is just skipped.
  • An install whose download had already finished no longer fails now and then when another download starts at the same moment.
  • Emptying the Downloads folder keeps going past a file it can't delete. It shows an error, and anything left behind stays listed.
  • The Discover and Settings buttons in the Quick Access menu are evenly spaced in their box instead of sitting against its top edge.

Under the hood

  • Release checks from an outdated reload stop early, so fewer GitHub requests are made.
  • Saved release lists for repositories you haven't looked at in a week are cleared.
  • Exporting logs and the repository list no longer holds up the rest of the plugin.
  • Reworked README and website: a new header, install steps that include turning on Developer mode, and an explanation of where the plugin list comes from.

Try it on your Deck

  • Leave Updates or Discover open past a refresh (or press Refresh): the cards should update without the page jumping or losing focus.
  • In an app's Manage window, switch the channel to pre-releases and back: its card should show that channel's latest version.
  • Install or update a plugin from DeckyHub and check that the card shows the new version.
  • Open the Quick Access menu and check the Discover and Settings buttons are evenly spaced.

v2.5.1

New

  • DeckSMB is now in the bundled list, under a new Utilities category. It runs a Samba (SMB) file-sharing server on your Steam Deck, so you can reach the Deck's files from another computer over your network.
  • DeckyHub's GitHub page has a Sponsor button if you'd like to support the project.

Try it on your Deck

  • Open Discover, filter Category by Utilities, and check that DeckSMB shows up and installs.

v2.5.0

The biggest DeckyHub update yet: a fresh look, installs that no longer get stuck, easier ways to find plugins, and six new plugins in Discover.

New

  • A fresh look for all of DeckyHub. App cards are tiles with a status-colored top edge (gray not installed, yellow update available, green up to date, red error), a two-letter badge in the category's color and a status pill. Every page has a header with an icon and title, and Settings, Repositories and Quick Access are laid out as tiles too.
  • See the download when you install. Install, Update, Reinstall, Downgrade and Update All open a window with a progress bar, then show Preparing install… until Decky Loader's confirm dialog appears. Cancel stops the download before anything is installed.
  • Sort and filter Discover. Next to Search and Status there's now a Category menu and a Sort menu: A to Z, Z to A, or Recently added (the newest plugins in DeckyHub's list first). Plugins with an update always come first.
  • See what's in a release before installing it. With any Install / Update / Reinstall / Downgrade button selected, press Y for that release's date and notes, or X to save its ZIP to Downloads instead of installing.
  • See how many updates are waiting. A yellow count shows next to the Updates title and on its Quick Access button.
  • Six new plugins in Discover: Decky MultiFrameGen (Frame Generation), Finally Achievement Plugin, PS5 Dashboard and Xbox Dashboard (Customization), and Loadout (Performance).
  • A heads-up before installing. DeckyHub reminds you that it only fetches releases from each plugin's authors and isn't responsible for what a plugin does. The note shows in red on the Updates and Discover pages and before every install, and nothing is installed until you accept.

Changed

  • The plugin list lives in its own repository, mazillka/deckyhub-registry, so new plugins arrive without a DeckyHub update. Want one added? Open an issue or pull request there.
  • Shorter app cards. When a card offers Install or Update, Manage is a small ⚙ beside it.
  • DeckyHub's own section in Quick Access works like a card. It's titled DeckyHub vX.Y.Z; when a newer version is out, a yellow note names it and Update installs it straight away, with ⚙ for the update window (channel, reinstall, downgrade, Download ZIP).
  • A tidier Quick Access menu. Updates only appears when there's something to update, and Repositories moved into Settings, right below GitHub Access.
  • Discover and Updates show every app on one page: no more Previous / Next, just scroll.
  • Update All downloads its plugins one after another before Decky's confirm dialog lists them all.
  • Finally Achievement Plugin follows its renamed GitHub repository. If you'd picked a channel or asset filter for it, set it again in its Manage window.

Fixed

  • Installs and updates no longer get stuck at 10%. DeckyHub now downloads the plugin itself and hands Decky the finished file. Decky still asks you to confirm and still checks the checksum.
  • DeckyHub reloads itself after updating if Decky doesn't do it within about 15 seconds, so you don't need to restart.
  • Updating a plugin DeckyHub has to remove first (Unifideck) now downloads the new version before removing the old one, so a failed download leaves your plugin installed.
  • A custom registry can no longer pose as a plugin you already have installed and offer an Update that installs its own release over it.
  • With a GitHub token set, a plugin no longer wrongly shows "No matching release found" for up to 30 minutes when GitHub returns an empty release list.
  • Release notes in the Release Info window reliably strip out HTML tags.

Under the hood

  • New work goes through a develop branch, with main for stable releases.
  • Updated build tools and the Decky UI library, removed unused code, and added maintainer tooling to keep the bundled plugin list in sync with the registry repository.

Try it on your Deck

  • Install or update a plugin from Discover: the download window should show progress, then Preparing install…, then Decky's confirm dialog.
  • On Discover, try Category and Sort, and move across the filter row and through the cards with the D-pad.
  • Press Y and X on an Install or Update button to check Release Info and Download ZIP.
  • With an update waiting, check the count on the Updates button in Quick Access and DeckyHub's own one-line Update button.

v2.1.0

The first stable release since v2.0.1. It brings together everything tested in the 2.0.2 pre-releases (rc.1 to rc.22).

New

  • Custom Registries. In Manage & Add, add someone else's list of apps: type a GitHub owner/repo (DeckyHub looks for its registry/apps.json) or paste any https:// link to a registry .json file. Its apps appear in Discover and Updates alongside DeckyHub's own.
  • A registry can add apps but never replace one DeckyHub already lists.
  • If a link won't work, you're told why: nothing at that address, not a DeckyHub registry, a failed certificate check, already added, or nothing new in it.
  • Up to 10 registries. Each one can be removed (with a confirmation), and Refresh registries downloads them all again.
  • Update All. When two or more plugins have updates, one tap on the Updates page sends them all to Decky Loader, which asks once and installs them in turn. Unifideck isn't included, because it has to be removed and installed fresh (see Fixed).
  • Install and update straight from a card. A plugin's card shows Install vX or Update to vX when there's something to install, so you don't have to open Manage. It can be hidden in Display Settings like the Manage window's buttons.
  • Russian. Pick it under Settings → Language, or leave it on auto-detect.
  • Three more apps in Discover: ThemeHub (console-style home screens), Spindeck (a rotary-wheel game launcher) and Game Glance (full-screen game pages with HowLongToBeat times).
  • Empty pages give you a next step: Updates shows a Discover button when everything is up to date, and a Discover search with no results shows Clear.
  • Export Logs names the file DeckyHub-logs-YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS.zip, so you can tell exports apart.

Changed

  • DeckyHub's app list updates on its own. Each time DeckyHub starts it downloads the latest list from GitHub in the background, and open pages refresh if it changed. Offline, it uses the last list it downloaded, or the one built into this release.
  • The Pre-release channel shows every release, newest first, not only pre-releases, so a stable version that comes out after the last pre-release is offered too. Pre-release labels are ordered correctly (alpha before beta before rc, rc9 before rc10), so Update, Reinstall and Downgrade are labelled right.
  • Install windows get out of the way. DeckyHub's update window and a plugin's Manage window close as soon as you tap Install, Update, Reinstall, Downgrade or confirm Uninstall, so Decky Loader's own progress dialog is in front. Check for Updates and Download ZIP keep the window open.
  • Install and Update buttons name the version they'll install, for example Update to v1.2.3, and no longer add "(unverified)" for older releases without a checksum (they still install the same way).
  • Cards are shorter and easier to scan. They say Checking… while looking up the latest release, show the channel only when it's Pre-release, and drop the empty "Installed: —" line. "Not Installed" is grey instead of red, so red only means something went wrong.
  • Better search. Discover also finds apps by category and description ("frame generation" finds the right plugins), and the search field has a clear button.
  • Updates shows its progress while loading, for example "5/16".
  • DeckyHub's Quick Access button reads Update to vX.Y.Z when a newer DeckyHub is out, and Check for Updates otherwise. The "Browse" heading above the navigation buttons is gone.
  • Your GitHub request limit lasts longer. Screens open at the same time share one check per app, and Update All refreshes the page once at the end.

Fixed

  • Updating Unifideck no longer freezes the Deck. DeckyHub now removes it and installs it fresh (with a warning first), avoiding a Decky Loader problem that left the install stuck at 95% and Gaming Mode frozen.
  • Stalled installs are reported. If Decky Loader stops partway through an install, a "Decky couldn't finish installing…" toast appears instead of a dialog stuck forever.
  • Checking for updates is fast again. On some Decks every check could hang for 15 seconds and then show old results.
  • D-pad: moving up through cards, pages and windows brings the whole card or section into view, title included; left and right move between Release Page and Check for Updates.
  • Settings are safer. They survive the Deck losing power mid-save, and a damaged settings file no longer stops DeckyHub from starting.
  • Clear messages when something fails: Import, Export, Add and Remove on the Repositories page and Export Logs say why, and a card's Install shows the usual "can't reach Decky Loader" message instead of a raw error.
  • Downloads: cancelling one still waiting in the queue stops it before it starts, Empty folder no longer deletes a download in progress, and Cleanup picks up downloads finished since it was opened.
  • Tapping Install or Update twice no longer starts two installs.
  • The DeckyHub update toast appears once per version, and a failed download shows its error once, in the download window.
  • The "Everything installed is up to date" message is centered.

Under the hood

  • Secure connections find SteamOS's certificates even under Decky's bundled Python; certificate checks stay on.
  • Registry entries are checked strictly, so a broken entry is skipped instead of breaking the page.
  • Downloads refuse redirects to non-HTTPS addresses, and release builds run with a read-only GitHub token.
  • Updated Decky's UI library (4.15.1) and the build tools; removed unused code; more unit and browser tests.

Try it on your Deck

  • With two or more outdated plugins, tap Update All and check Decky shows one dialog and installs them all.
  • Tap Update to v… on an outdated plugin's card; for Unifideck, check the warning appears first and cancelling it leaves Unifideck installed.
  • In Manage & Add → Custom Registries, add filesfor/deckyhub-registry, check its apps appear in Discover, then remove it.
  • Move through Discover's search row, the cards and the Manage window with the D-pad, and check focus moves in every direction and each card's title comes into view.
  • Search Discover for "frame generation", then clear it.
  • Restart Decky with Wi-Fi off and check Discover still lists DeckyHub's apps.

v2.0.1

New

  • Update count on the Updates button. The Updates button in the Quick Access Menu shows a yellow badge with the number of plugins that have an update waiting. It disappears when everything is up to date.
  • Install older plugins too. Some plugins, such as Decky-Undervolt and CSS Loader, have no install checksum because their latest release predates GitHub publishing one (mid-2025). They used to offer only Download ZIP. Now they get Install (unverified) / Update (unverified). Decky still asks you to confirm and downloads over HTTPS, but can't check the file is exactly the one the author published. Plugins with a checksum are verified as before, and DeckyHub's own updates still require one.
  • Two more plugins in Discover: Deck as Controller (use your Deck as a Bluetooth controller for a Mac or iPad) and BGFX (Borderless Gaming effects and frame generation from Quick Access). That makes 13 bundled plugins.
  • DeckyHub has a website: mazillka.github.io/deckyhub-plugin, with a tour, install steps and the full plugin list. The browser-based Registry Editor moved to its own page there.

Fixed

  • Install and Update now work for plugins whose release tags aren't plain version numbers (like Release-0.7.5 or plugin-v1.2.3). DeckyHub now passes Decky the clean version.
  • Decky's confirmation dialog no longer opens behind the Manage window. The window closes as soon as you tap Install or Update.

Changed

  • DeckyHub is now licensed under GPL-3.0-or-later.
  • If an install ever seems stuck, Export Logs now shows each step Decky reported and how long it took, which makes it much easier to tell where it stopped.

Good to know

  • Updating a large plugin such as Unifideck can sit at 95% if Decky Loader fails to download one of that plugin's extra tools. That's a Decky Loader limitation: it stops without closing its dialog. Reload Decky (or restart) and tap Update again.

Under the hood

  • Dependency updates for the build tools and the development preview (fixing all open Dependabot alerts).
  • New tests for unverified installs and for keeping the README's plugin list in sync with the registry.

Try it on your Deck

  • With a plugin out of date, the Updates button shows the right count, and the badge doesn't throw off the button's layout or controller focus.
  • In Discover, Decky-Undervolt shows Install (unverified); installing it goes through Decky's own confirmation.
  • Install or update a plugin from Manage: the window closes and Decky's dialog appears on top.
  • In German, the longer Manage labels ("… (nicht verifiziert)") fit on the button.

v2.0.0

New

  • Install plugins right from DeckyHub. Decky plugins you don't have yet get an Install button on their Discover card, and the Manage window can install, update, reinstall or downgrade to any version you pick.
  • Uninstall Decky plugins from the Manage window, with a confirmation first.
  • Optional GitHub token in Settings to lift GitHub's request limit. Settings shows how many requests you have left, and a banner explains it whenever the limit is reached.
  • Display Settings: hide the buttons you don't use, and choose a Default or Compact interface density.
  • Export Logs button for troubleshooting.
  • Cleanup only appears when your downloads folder actually has files, and its confirmation is clearer.
  • Icons on every button, centered with their labels.
  • The DeckyHub update window lets you choose the channel and version, including reinstalling or downgrading.

Changed

  • Far fewer GitHub requests: release lists are shared and cached, unchanged lists cost nothing to re-check, and the last known list is shown if GitHub can't be reached. Discover also loads faster.
  • Every version is shown the same way (v1.2.3), and a newer pre-release of an installed pre-release now counts as an update.
  • The app card's button is now Manage, and its window opens with the version picker first.

Fixed

  • The newest release is picked by publish date, not by the order GitHub happens to return.
  • Download buttons work again after a download window is closed.
  • Removing a repository no longer depends on upper or lower case.
  • An older DeckyHub release is no longer offered as an update.
  • Remaining English-only messages are translated.
  • The version window closes before the release page opens.
  • Typing a GitHub token isn't wiped by settings finishing loading, and the controller can scroll back up to the token intro.

Under the hood

  • Large cleanup of unused code and duplicated logic in the app and backend, plus more automated tests, including the GitHub token feature and the new install flows.

Try it on your Deck

  • Open Discover and Install a plugin you don't have; Decky's install dialog should appear.
  • In an installed plugin's Manage window, pick an older version and check Downgrade installs it.
  • Move through the buttons, Manage window and Quick Access with the controller and check focus, icons and layout look right.
